HBCUFI Partners with UNCF to Support the HBCU Entrepreneurial Ecosystem.
About the Partnership
HBCUFI has partnered with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to help us identify and support startups in the HBCU entrepreneurial ecosystem. UNCF is the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization, with thirty-seven historically Black colleges and universities belonging to the UNCF network of member institutions.
HBCUFI and UNCF Partner with Verizon and CGI U for the Verizon Forward for Good Challenge.
Looking Forward: 2023 Programing
In 2023, through the partnership we plan to engage 1000 HBCU students and alumni via pre-accelerator programing. This includes:
PRE-ACCELERATORS: 2 eight-week pre-accelerators and ongoing advisory support for approximately 10 startups.
PITCH COMPETITIONS: For established pre seed and seed stage startups with at least one HBCU Founder.
